Living And Vacationing In Newport Beach

Having lived my entire life on the East Coast, I always had dreams of flying out west, out to California where I could spend my days relaxing on the beach, under the hot sun. Luckily, half of my family lives in Southern California, so this dream wasn’t so hard to accomplish after all.

After a few months of planning, my family and I decided that we would take a vacation on the beach. And what better way to do this than by renting one of the many Newport Beach homes that we found in our numerous searches on-line? Eventually we found one that would be perfect for us. It wasn’t huge, but there was enough space for the four of us.

Most importantly it was right on Corono del Mar beach. From my bedroom to the house was less than a five minute walk away and, lucky for us, it was sunny every day except for the day we left.

Need to get away from the hot sand and sun? Head to Fashion Island, the 3-story shopping mall, home to stores Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and a ton of restaurants. It was a great place to spend some time, do some shopping, and cool off a little bit.

In the mood for a bit of adventure? Start your journey up or down the coast on the Pacific Coast Highway, which makes its way through the city. Driving up the coast was a great way to take in the sights and sounds that Southern California has to offer. Stopping off to take pictures or just admire the beauty of the Pacific Ocean was an unforgettable experience. We went at sunset, but I’m sure any time of the day would be just as amazing.

So if you’re looking for a great place to relax underneath the sun, with no shortage of places to go and things to see, go west , or whatever direction it may be for you, to California. You won’t be disappointed at all.
